Shipping, Orders and Terms and Conditions
Purchases from Allissias Attic online store are subject to the following shipping policies and terms and conditions. All orders received will be fulfilled with the understanding that these Terms & Conditions will be adhered to. Should you have any queries regarding our Terms & Conditions please make written request for further information prior to placing your order.
Free United Kingdom Delivery
Most of our products pricing include delivery throughout the UK.
Where the item is large, bulky or heavy (much of our furniture will fall into this category) there will be a *free delivery - up to £.......* in the item description. If the purchased item/s freight quote to your destination exceeds this amount we may request the extra delivery charge at our discretion. (most times we are able to absorb small increases and you will not be asked for extra)
Delivery of Furniture & Large items
As you can understand large furniture pieces delivered to some regional areas will require substantially more than the allocated delivery amount in the item description even though we have tried to estimate carefully. We will at all times provide you with a quote from the freight company so you are certain the extra charges are purely for freight and not Allissias Attic's whim. As is often the way, pricing can vary and we wish to ensure that you have the best delivery price for your item and will help you achieve the best pricing for freight while staying within our suppliers requirements.
We do not offer international delivery at this time. However having both the United Kingdom & Australian suppliers there may be an option to deliver elsewhere with some items - best to email us and check prior to ordering though.
Stairs and Difficult Deliveries
All prices quoted are for standard deliveries and don’t allow for large items to be carried up stairs, into country areas or onto boats or otherwise difficult to reach buildings – if you have an unusual or difficult situation please advise us and we will provide with a quote for your particular situation - failure to advise us will incur extra charges and difficulties from the freight company and this will be beyond our control - these charges will be invoiced to you for payment and there will be no refund available should this situation occur.
In regard to furniture and large pieces - a courier organised by supplier may be organised and you will be expected to meet the courier for delivery. As we have no control over the freight company we are unable to make special arrangements - these will need to be arranged by yourself once we have given you the freight company's details.
It is your responsibility as the purchaser to ensure that the items that you have purchased fit inside your building. Please measure your access routes and doorways prior to finalising your purchase, always err on the side of caution and add 10-15% to all measurements given on our website.
If an item cannot be delivered due to it not fitting in your building you will be billed the restocking fee of 30% of purchase price and freight costs both ways – so please measure your space accurately!!!
Your order will be processed within 5-21 days of your payment being cleared and when stock permits dispatch will be promptly organised.
Out Of Stock Items
If your item is out of stock indefinitely, you will be given the option to withdraw your order completely. If we do not receive correspondence from you within 7 days from our advice your order will be automatically sent to you when the item comes into stock. Please feel free to email us to check availability prior to ordering - we cannot guarantee an item in stock at time of placing your order without confirmation of such.
We will inform you of the status of the item you have ordered, and the expected date of arrival if it is out of stock.
If your order is cancelled as a result of the stock not being available immediately and you don’t wish to wait for it to come into stock we will refund you in full.
If your order is cancelled after 24 hours from order placement as a result of you changing your mind a 30% (of total purchase price) re-stocking fee applies. If despatch has occurred prior to your advice all freight charges will also be at your expense.
Cancellation by customer after confirmation of an order will incur the merchant fees to be deducted from any refund or credit - no exceptions.
Please note - large furniture deliveries will use a furniture carrier - 1 or 2 man: if you sign for goods delivered by our furniture carrier i.e (White Van Gentlemen / Furdeco or the like) / 2 man delivery service without checking goods while the carrier is on your premises this is at your own risk - we cannot be held responsible for damage once delivered & signed declaration complete. This declaration confirms you have received goods in perfect condition. No claim after the 2 man service delivery for 'damage in transit' will be accepted under any circumstances. We pay a premium for these deliveries so there are no damage claims - 'damage in transit' cannot be claimed after signing for these deliveries.
If your item arrives damaged in transit (other than 2 man service - Parcelforce/Hermes/Royal Mail or the like) – please email us immediately and provide image/images of all damage. While the courier waits - check general items are undamaged, if you notice that the packaging is damaged or crushed please note it on the couriers paperwork you are asked to sign. If your item is faulty please contact us within 24 hours of receipt to obtain a confirmation from our supplier and return authorisation if agreed. The manufacturer or our supplier will be required to agree on the return & refund prior to goods being returned. If notification of fault is given to Allissias Attic after 48hours from delivery we cannot accept any responsibility and no replacement or refund will be offered. Goods must be in original packaging & unused.
(Change of mind returns or returns not related to manufacturer defects or faulty materials will incur freight charges for both delivery to you and return to us-these are entirely at the your expense - there is also a 30% (of total purchase price) restocking fee as per above 'order cancellation')
We do not accept returns under the following circumstances (unless otherwise agreed by Allissias Attic in writing):
- You are negligent in caring for your item resulting in damage
- Natural wear and tear caused after delivery
- Change of mind
- Does not fit your property or style of space
- Colour variations that are in keeping with manufacturers materials
- Variations perceived by viewing online images - if in doubt request image of actual item being purchased or sample of material if available
- Failure to notify Allissias Attic of damage during transit within 48hours of delivery
*Do not under any circumstance return goods without prior approval in writing from Allissias Attic*
We will not be held responsible for any charges incurred i.e: freight, damage to goods or loss of goods returned without written confirmation and agreement to do so.
Colours of items displayed on your computer monitor may vary from the true natural colour of the fabric, timber work or painted finish. While all efforts are made to provide you with accurate colour descriptions and images there may be a variety of reasons why there are colour inconsistencies, for example due to different dye lots, timber stain or paint finish showing differently on your display.
Allissias Attic reserves the right to cancel any orders that breach their terms and conditions of use. Users under the age of 18 years are permitted to use the Allissias Attic website but are forbidden to purchase without the consent and presence of a parent or guardian over the age of 18 years. Allissias Attic reserves the right to cancel orders, cancel or suspend accounts at their sole discretion without prior notice.
Allissias Attic reserves the right to amend our terms and conditions when necessary. Terms and conditions in force at time of purchase will be applicable to your order.
Errors & Omissions Excepted (E&OE)
"Errors and Omissions Excepted" simply means that, while care is taken to make sure that all relevant information is present and correct, there may still be errors on this website. If you find an error or omission, please let us know, and we will correct it as soon as possible.
We apologise for any inconvenience that may be caused, but we cannot always offer you the exact described product at the specified price, if errors and / or omissions are present.
It is advisable to check specifications etc. before ordering.
SPECIAL NOTE: To the extent permitted by law, any typographical, clerical or other error or omission in sales literature, quotation, price list, acceptance or offer, invoice or other documents or information issued by Allissias Attic Design & Vintage French Style shall be subject to correction without liability on the part of Allissias Attic.
